Not many nations buy China’s strategy : “Hey Japan/Phillipines/Indonesia, please come one by one, let us sort bilaterally” — hahahaa stupid guys I’m going to slaughter one by one.

These exercises, are there primarily to discourage “China war mongering”, if China starts war, whack it from all directions. Many of alliance members do have nuclear weapons — China as well knows the MAD (mutually assured destruction scenario).

How does that end?

Imagine at least India and China are partially in ashes.

Perhaps half a billion in each country dead/injured.

China surrounded by enemies, is likely to get just humanitarian assistance.
India surrounded by friends, local and remote (Russia, US, France, Britain, EU), would get significant rebuilding assistance.
Tibet and Ugyur – would be independent. Even if China commits a genocide of Tibetans/Ugyurs, those nationals outside China will take those territories.
India – since most of the nations of India are together without a rubber-band, without gun pointed at them, they may stay together as one country.
